Are you sure it is 011? I thought from Australia it was 0011 (double zero) for international calls
I agree with prion: from Australia ( country code +61, ) you use the following international prefixes for making calls abroad:-
Australia 0011 (Voice calls)
0015 (Fax calls - Telstra)
0018 (Telstra special rates)
0019 (Fax calls - Singtel Optus) 0
On the website to which Nik referred, it actually says to dial 0011:
Dial any one of our access numbers and follow the prompt. Do remember to Prefix 0011 + Country code + Destination Number + # For Example to call India – 0011 +91+ 9912345678 + #
However, if one has to drop the leading zero when calling from the UK, (possibly?), both panda and nixforfun may be right.
Do any of the contributors to this thread have any experience of dialing via an Australian callthrough service ?
